What clothing and footwear will I need?

When out on game drives it's best to blend in with the scenery, so our safari travel tip is to pack as many pale and neutral coloured clothing as possible.

In summer, wear lightweight clothes but take a windbreaker or light jacket for the evenings. In winter take a jumper (sweater), fleece or warm jacket too.

Trainers (sneakers) are fine for safari walks, and it's a good idea to bring a hat and sunglasses, regardless of the season, as the African sun often blazes brightly all year round.

Can I bring a camera?

Of course! This trip will leave you with some vivid memories, and there'll be plenty of opportunities to catch the moment on film or digitally. We also have extra film available in the gift shop just in case you run out. One thing to bear in mind is that some animals won't appreciate flash photography. Your ranger will let you know when it's not a good idea - trust them, they're on good terms with all our neighbours!
