Zimbali – Zulu for ‘Flowers’ is set on the lush sub-tropical coastal belt. Only 42km north of Durban.

The lodge is about forty minutes (58km) by road from Durban International Airport, 31Km from Virginia Airport, north of Durban and a five-hour drive from Johannesburg.

Arrival:
Upon arrival, guests enter through the main entrance. A private check-in follows whilst guests’ luggage is transferred to a golf cart awaiting them at the entrance. Motor vehicles are parked by a valet and guests are escorted to their rooms, which are all situated in the magnificent gardens surrounding the hotel.

Directions to Zimbali Estate:

If en route from Johannesburg or Durban International Airport, the main route to Zimbali Estate is the N2 North Coast motorway towards Stanger.

Take the Ballito / Compensation Beach turnoff from the N2, and follow the signage to Ballito. Once on this main road into Ballito, pass straight through a traffic circle (with Ballito Lifestyle Center on your right) and approach a second circle, drive ¾ of the way around the circle until you are on the M4 heading back towards Durban.  At the next circle, drive ¼ of the way around (left) toward Zimbali Lodge and Country Club, you will come to the first security gate, give them your name, then drive to the next gate which is about 1 km’s along this road on the left, the security will have your access disks with them there.
